How to be more Happy……

Do you think that is grass is greener on the other side and what you have is just a bunch of scrap strewn around your lawn? Is thinking so, wrong??

Well, I think so too, and I don’t find anything wrong in it. My life is messed up as of now. I have a thousand things going around in my head but don’t know what to do about them. I wish I could do this, I wish I could that, I wish I could own that Royal Enfield when it passes my way again, Ohh, I wish so much, I wish the grass could be greener on my side too!

So now that you have started thinking, what do you do about it? Do you just think and envy those on the other side of the fence.

Now when I say, I want to own the Royal Enfield that doesn’t mean I envy the guy riding it. Yes, I am jealous because I don’t own it yet but I am not jealous because he has it. He owns it, good for him (that shouldn’t make a difference to me), but I own it! (Now, that is what I should really care about) When you want to be successful you pray, let me succeed, but don’t pray, let others fail!

Jealousy is both reasonable and belongs to reasonable men, while envy is base and belongs to the base, for the one makes himself get good things by jealousy, while the other does not allow his neighbour to have them through envy. -Aristotle 

Jealousy is good but don’t let that turn into envy. Draw inspiration from it, channelize your energies. It’s not about why is the grass greener on the other side, but how do you make the grass greener on your own side. It’s about how you turn your dreams into reality.

 Thinking about others and wallowing in self-pity is not going to get you anywhere. Don’t like the barren piece of land you live on? Then go ahead and change it. Be it changing your present condition, changing your attitude, being happy with what you have or making the most of the things you got! It’s your Life, make it your own! If you wanta garden thenyou got to work for it baby.

Few suggestions to help you turn your grass greener, if you are clueless and just need help starting up.


 Assess Your Abilities.

There are things which you do and things you think you can do. Try out as many things as you want. You think you can cook, paint, sing, dance, write, but never tried it, go ahead give yourself a chance.

Be aware of yourself.

Don’t Envy Others.

You know you can dance really well, but can’t cook, but wish you could learn how to do it. Now that is no reason to envy others who can cook well. Go ahead, take help from those who can cook, why make an enemy when you can gain a friend!

Have an Aim, Work Hard For It.

You start of well, but when failure beckons, don’t give up, start again. If you want the grass greener, then you are supposed to water, feed and care for the saplings, only then will they give you the fruits you desire.


Understand What Makes YOU Happy.

There is no standard rule, as to, your grass is this green that means you are this percent successful, this percent happy or wealthy! It’s about what YOU want. Pursue your dreams. Making money is important, but that tiny little voice inside you which likes to do other things as well, don’t let that voice ever die.

As for me, I am no longer pitying myself, I write, I sketch, I go out, I smile more often, there is this sense of satisfaction which I am relishing and yes I am also working hard and saving up, to own the Royal Enfield…..

How to Build Self Confidence

Millions of people all over the world are victims of low self-confidence, are you one of these people? Because of your low self confidence do you notice yourself not doing things you might find interesting?

 Imagine a world where you could put on your self confidence as you would put on your pants?

 Since you don’t have a super self-confidence suit you can put on , here are some easy to use strategies to increase your low self-confidence.

These strategies are an exercise in self reflection and will help you to start your path of self empowerment. I also have learned how to meditate and it has helped me in numerous ways.

 1. You are your own best friend

 be you own.  Try something new today. Go ahead and do something that you have always been fearful of doing. All that matters is that you give it an honest attempt, the outcome is irrelevant at this point. Give yourself a pat on the back and tell yourself  “Great Effort”. At least you tried something new!

 Instead of focusing on the myriad of outcomes focus your efforts on the act of actually doing. Nobody is perfect so don’t assume you have to be. The trick is to accept your limitations and not focus on them. Hey, we all have shortcomings.

 2. Fear is a killer.

 We can never know the outcome of doing something if we don’t try, so why do you let your low self-confidence get in the way? Alter the way you view things. Let go of your fear, Also you can use these as a good way to learn something. Let this be the avenue you take to help overcome your low self-confidence and be a winner.

In order to succeed you need to stop spending your time fearing the outcome.A short way to failure is to constantly being consumed by fear. Stop setting yourself up for failure. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself.


 3. Control your Thoughts.

 Pay heed to the advice of your inner voice. We all constantly chatter to ourselves. Pay close attention to your thoughts and what you are thinking at all times. If you find you are having negative thoughts then immediately stop your flow of thoughts. These negative thoughts are fueling your low self-confidence. Use positive affirmations to replace your negative thoughts. Tell yourself you are worthy and self-confident. Many of our thoughts are illusions and only perpetuate our feelings of insecurity.

 Our minds are programed by the assumptions we continually make. Accept the reality that you are not going to be perfect and from what I can tell nobody else is either. Don’t be so hard on yourself and begin today by filling your mind with productive and self enhancing thoughts.

 4. What others think about you makes no difference.

 By caring what others think about you, you are letting them control the way you view yourself. Your sense of self worth will diminish and the increase in low self-confidence will rise.

 Find out who the real you is. Look inside and see that you are no different then anyone else. In our own way we are unique and worthy. You don’t have to live up to the ideals of someone else to help you feel good.

 Relying on others for your happiness is futile and is just another way to avoid taking responsibility for your own life. As you start to increase your unique sense of self you will begin to find it very empowering.

 It took years to get to the point you are at now, and you must understand that it will take time to break the cycle of low self-confidence. Don’t be afraid of failing and approach each day with the attitude that I will get through this day in a positive and confident manner.

Become a positive being and take back control of your life.

You have just as much right to enjoy your life as anyone else on this planet and accept that you are a rare and unique individual.

 Kick your low self-confidence to the curb once and for all. You can be free from all your self effacing behaviours and learn how to manifest all your desires.
